For the majority of his life, Lin-Manuel Miranda's parents, Luis A. Miranda, Jr. and Luz Towns-Miranda, have always contributed to the community through fundraising and advocacy. This caring nature carried over to Lin-Manuel Miranda, shown by him help raise millions of dollars for support of those affected by the destruction caused by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico.
