Luis Walter Alvarez
He made many important discoveries to different categories of science. Some of his discoveries include:
He worked in many different labs and received a multitude of awards for his contributions to science.
Luis Walter Alvarez was awarded a Nobel prize in physics in 1968 for the discovery of many types of resonance particles. He also received the Collier trophy from the National Aeronautic Association for the development of Ground - Controlled Approach. He was also awarded the Albert Einstein medal and the National medal of science in physics.
Luis Walter Alvarez was born in San Francisco, California on June 13th, 1911 and died on September 1st 1988. Some of the laboratories that he worked at were: The Radiation Laboratory of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1940 to 1943, Metallurgical Laboratory of the university of Chicago in 1943 to 1944, and the Los Alamos Laboratory of the Manhattan District from 1944 to 1945.
While I was doing a bit of research into the physicist, I found that he received a nobel prize as well as other rewards.Upon going further into my studies of him and his accomplishments I came to realize that he contributed multiple important discoveries to different categories of science.
